About Brody Cherry
Lighting Designer/Programmer and Stage Technician
I am a lighting designer and programmer certified by ACT Entertainment with the grandMA3 Pro Intermediate Certification for programming and operating grandMA3 lighting consoles. Additionally I have worked with some ETC and ChamSys consoles as well as basic DMX control softwares. I have used NovaStar LED video products as well as Erik Nelson Entertainment (ENE) brand lighting fixtures and LED Video Products. I design and create stage renders and plots in Capture 2022 and have designed rigging and positioning plots for fixtures and LED video walls.

I have worked with Lifepoint Church Louisville for about one-and-a-half years and have gained lots of experience with them; operating and programming lighting for weekly services, and leading the second and third-ever panel and fixture redesigns in which we assemble touring-level lighting rigs with professional lighting and video products. For these projects, I designed the rig in Capture and led the installation of the fixtures and overall construction of the rig managing a team of 15-20 volunteers.

I also have started a training program at Lifepoint to share my knowledge of lighting in houses of worship and to assist others in being able to operate and eventually program lighting. I have also worked in a few theatrical productions which call for a 180-degree approach to lighting in the setting of the show but with the same lighting rig in some cases.
